"All-Michigan Basketball Club" success has come from its focus in three key areas:

1.    Fundamental Skills & Mechanics

2.    Structured Practices with Experienced Coaches

3.    Tournament & League Play

For young athletes, the regimented approach to developing mechanics and skill set produces dramatic results. We feel it is critical in early stages of development players receive consistent feedback and regularly reinforced key points in teaching.

Over the past five years, our program has developed into one of the more successful AAU programs in the state and is made up of 6 teams encompassing girls and boys at the high school level. While we are dedicated to creating opportunities for young athletes, it is impossible to provide them for everyone that tries out.

At this level of competition, you should expect to be taught and coached like a college level athlete (faster, quicker, player oriented).  It exposes match-ups on the floor without interfering with our continuity as a team.

As a parent, you should consider the following before enrolling your son or daughter into the "All-Michigan Basketball Club" AAU program:

1.    Our teams require greater parent commitments of time than a recreational league. Parents need to seriously evaluate whether they're in a position to fulfill their responsibilities before allowing son or daughter to join a team.

2.    Competition is significant both internally for spots on rosters as well as starting positions. In 2009, "All-Michigan Basketball Club" formerly Michigan Mavericks 15U/Michigan Fire 15U had athletes from 8 cities across Southeastern Michigan, and was forced to cut close to 30 athletes through our try out process.

3.    Practices are organized and at times very intense both physically and mentally for our athletes. Athletes  who fill spots on rosters are expected to prioritize their commitment to their team- attending all called practices on time and ready to play

4.    Displays of poor sportsmanship from athletes or their parents will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination from the club at the time of incident without appeal. All and any player fees will be forfeited as well. "All-Michigan Basketball Club" has earned a reputation for excellence and sportsmanship-we will not make exceptions for poor behavior.

5. All Michigan Basketball Club players must maintain a 2.5 GPA to play in our program. If you do not carry a 2.5 GPA you will be subject to mandatory tutoring NO Exceptions.
